1. Overview HabitCheck is built with your privacy in mind. Everything you create in the app stays on your device. Two things leave it: your purchase, if you buy Pro, and anonymous usage statistics, which you can switch off in Settings.

2. Data we collect Your habits, streaks, achievements, drill progress, notes and settings are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. There is no account to create and no server holding your content.

We do collect anonymous usage analytics: which screens and features are used, when the app is opened, and whether a purchase succeeded or failed. This tells us which parts of the app people actually use so we can improve them. It never includes the names of your habits or anything else you type.

3. Data we don't collect We do not collect your name, email, or contact details, your location, your health or fitness data, or crash reports. We do not use advertising identifiers, and we do not record your screen or your taps. Your IP address is not stored and is not used to work out where you are. Nothing you write in the app ever leaves your device.

4. Third party services HabitCheck uses no advertising or ad-tracking services of any kind.

We use two service providers. RevenueCat manages purchases and Pro access, and is used strictly for billing, never for advertising or profiling. PostHog provides the anonymous usage analytics described above; the data is held on PostHog's European servers.

Neither provider receives your name or email, because we do not have them.

5. Purchases If you buy HabitCheck Pro, the payment itself is processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play — we never see or store your card or payment details. So that your Pro access keeps working across reinstalls and devices, our billing provider (RevenueCat) receives a randomly generated anonymous ID for your installation, along with your purchase history, app version, device type, and country. That record is not linked to your name or email, and we never send it anything you create in the app.

So that we can tell whether a purchase followed from a particular path through the app, the same anonymous installation ID is recorded alongside our analytics events. It is still not linked to your name or email.

6. Turning analytics off Settings has an Analytics toggle. Switching it off stops every event immediately, including the app-open counts. The app works identically either way, and nothing is withheld from you for opting out.

7. Children HabitCheck is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

8. Changes If we change this policy we will update this document and tell you in the app before the change takes effect.

9. Your rights We hold no account and no personal profile, so there is nothing for us to look up about you by name. Your app data lives entirely on your device and is removed when you uninstall.

You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings, which stops all collection immediately. To have the anonymous records held by our analytics or billing providers deleted, use the Feedback option in Settings and we will arrange it.
